Pace MacGill Gallery on the Upper East Side.  57th St. and Madison Ave., Manhattan, NY.

My Contemporary Photography Seminar wrapped up our semester with a private visit to Pace MacGill gallery.  The gallery staff pulled a small selection of work tailored specifically to our interests and investigations over the course of the semester.  We saw daguerreotypes by Chuck Close, P.O.P. prints by Judith Joy Ross, and prints by Fazal Sheikh and Michal Rovner.  We also got a glimpse of the gallery staff in the midst of taking down one show and mounting another.  As a bonus, we even met the founder of the gallery, Peter MacGill.  It’s times like this that you realize it’s damn hard to beat being at school in New York City.  What a great opportunity, to have gone on this exciting and interesting visit to one of New York’s prestigious photography galleries.

New York Rangers fans gathered outside Madison Square Garden prior to Game #2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.  The Blueshirts all showed their faith in their own unique ways.  Madison Square Garden, 7th Ave., Manhattan, NY.

(I will be posting images from between April 23rd & May 16th in the coming days.  I just thought I should get these up in a (somewhat) timely manner, since they are sort of time-sensitive.)

Long Overdue

…for an update.  Sorry, followers.  It’s been hectic (end of the semester at school = crunch time & no spare minutes to update Tumblr).  But that’s all over with now, and I’m in the middle of queueing up some new posts, so keep an eye for fresh images in the next few days.  Thanks for your patience!
